This Just In: Most recently, Alternatives TLC, recognizing the need for a centralized "clearinghouse" of industry information, worked in partnership with Strategic Compliance Solutions to create and publish the first Alternatives Industry Resource Guide, available to everyone. In 2005, Alternatives TLC's initial mission was to deliver comprehensive hedge fund and fund-of-funds accounting classes to new and experienced fund accountants in the alternatives investment management industry. Based on feedback from numerous industry firms, over the past two years, Alternatives TLC has expanded its business model to include strategic technology and operational business consulting in addition to educational training services. Experienced staff strives to impart knowledge, leveraging the talent that industry firms have employed, through a hands-on learning environment and/or consulting assignment at the client’s location. At the same time, woven into the experience, is a heightened awareness of compliance and industry knowledge, thereby creating a stronger and more cohesive framework within which back office personnel can thrive.

Specifically, Altermatives TLC provides:

· Beginning, intermediate and advanced Hedge Fund and Fund-of-Funds Accounting classes

· One-day Alternatives Industry Overview for new hires at existing alternatives firms and for traditional investment firms that are seeking to enter the increasingly popular alternatives arena.

· Educational, operational and technology needs assessments

· Evaluation of educational, operational and technology solutions, including creating and coordinating RFP processes

· Creation and implementation of educational, operational and technology training courses, customized to

each firm’s needs;

· Creation of operational procedural manuals for various aspects of each firm’s business;

· Consulting on technology solutions, including research and creation of business and operational

specifications;

· Project Management of needs based solutions, including implementation and conversion strategies.

Most significantly, Alternatives TLC provides innovative resources and offers customized training and consulting approaches, allowing clients to have education, training and consulting tailored to their own specialized needs, incorporating the unique way they do business.
